Lycopene
and Cholesterol - Unfortunately
the consumption of a diet rich in lycopene presents practical problems
which do not arise with the better known carotenoids, alpha and beta-carotene,
because it is not nearly so widely available in common foodstuffs.

Do
you have concerns about heartburn?
It
is very common to get occasional heartburn. Every one in four people
in the world experience this symptom at least once in a month. This
is usually caused by heavy eating, oily foods, or eating too late
past the meal time. There is absolutely nothing wrong experiencing
occasional heartburn. However, if the occasional heartburn becomes
a constant feature, then it can become a very serious problem.
What
do you eat? Anything that does not agree with your stomach?
Then
stop eating it!
Heartburn
is nothing but the return of food from the stomach along with acid
and undigested food particles as well as bile. This is why people
find this leaving a terribly vile taste in the mouth. The reflux
(or return of food) occurs when the “gate” (the
lower esophagus sphincter or LES) swings inwards and lets the food
escape from the stomach back into the esophagus, to the mouth.
Food
eating habits ie proper diet can make that burning go away!
The
best cure is prevention – and hence all your
efforts should go in preventing it from happening in the first place.
This would require discipline of food habits, proper diet, and exercise
and to some extent meditation and/or yoga. If you are prone to heartburn,
avoid fat, milk, aerated drinks, coffee and tea (with milk and without),
citrus fruits and so on – because these are specifically heartburn
triggers.
Medication
for Heartburn
Prevent occasional heartburn from turning into a chronic
affliction by cutting out the foods that provoke gas, indigestion and
acidity. Chronic heartburn can be very painful, besides being a serious
health hazard. Therefore, take utmost care to prevent it so that you
can live a more carefree life.
