Don’t smoke cigarettes
Research has revealed that cigarette smoke will break down collagen and elastin from the enzyme which is released. At the St. Thomas Hospital, they found that all of the siblings who smoked developed skin that looked more aged compared with those who did not smoke in their lifetime. If you really need to smoke, use the patch or Smoke Deter. You’ll need to kick off this habit sooner or later, just for the sake of your health.
Get some sleep
A dermatologist, who goes by the name of Nicholas Perricone, knows that when you don’t get plenty of rest, your body will create extra cortisol which is the culprit when it comes to the breaking of skin cells. If you get enough sleep each day, your body will naturally produce more HGH, also known as human growth hormone such as Genf20. Your skin will remain thick or “elastic” as we might call it.
Aside from this, the American Academy of Dermatology has discovered that sleeping in a certain position can cause something called “sleep lines”. This is where a wrinkle forms on top of your skin and simply won’t go away after you have awoken. The majority of people sleep on their side and this is where it all goes wrong. You’ll get more wrinkles on your cheeks this way. Now, if you sleep face down – you can get a wrinkled brow. The safest way to sleep is on your back because in this position, nothing touches your face.
Stop squinting.
Okay, we know you don’t have your glasses – but that doesn’t mean you need to squint all the time. Get up and do something about it. All you need to get is a prescription for reading or distance glasses. You can order them online after if you like, as this is less expensive. Besides, everyone knows how damaging repetitive facial movement can be. Also, wearing sunglasses will obviously protect your surrounding eye area from the sun which results in less wrinkles.
