How To Build Muscle Fast
People work out for different reasons. Some want to lose weight while others want to build muscle fast. Some want to become more healthy, while others want maintain their physical fitness. Still others want to become toned, while others want to build muscle, and I have learned a couple of tips that can help people interested in a good muscle building workout.
Reps and weights to build muscle fast
When you are looking to incorporate a muscle building workout into your routine, you really need to think about a couple of different things. First and foremost, you should ask yourself if you are as big as you would like to be. By this I mean, are your arms, legs and chest at a size with which you are happy? If they are, then it is time to get started with the lower weights higher reps. If not, you’ll need to go the other way.
I had a friend who wanted to start up a muscle building workout and wanted to get bigger. He did not just want to tone up his body, he wanted more size. I informed him he would need to up his protein intake and lift heavier amounts of weight with less reps. Instead of, for instance, bench pressing 150 pounds 10 to 12 reps, try 200 for four to six reps, and see if he could do it.
We built an entire muscle building workout around this philosophy, and with great results. Within a few months, he had more bulk, gained 15 pounds of muscle and was starting to get pretty cut. He continued to work out like that until the reached the size he wanted to be, and then decided he just wanted to tone.
Just Toning to build muscle fast
That is when we switched thing up, and we dropped the weight down to a level he would do 16 to 18 reps, while still incorporating the heavy lifts on a more occasional basis. This was not an especially effective muscle building workout, but he did start to get that chiseled look that so many guys want and so many women find desirable.
The most important thing to remember when you are trying to incorporate a muscle building workout into your regular exercise regimen is that you have to lift bigger weights if you want bigger muscles.
If you want to tone your muscles, tone it down. That makes it pretty simple to remember, and for serious weightlifters, it is sometimes fun to alternate between the two. Some people want to get really big and continue to build strength, while some people only want to tone and remain lean. For most people, however, a combination of the two is the best bet – to build muscle fast.
