            The diet on the second day can consist of any cooked vegetable of your choice except potatoes. For the rest of the day you can have the cabbage soup. On the day three of this diet to lose weight, you can combine the items you had for day one and two. Day four’s diet needs to comprise of bananas and many glasses of skimmed milk in addition to the soup. This can help in getting over the desire of eating sweetened things.

            On day five, a tin of about six tomatoes and ten to twenty ounces of meat of fish are allowed. Make sure you drink about six to eight glasses of water so that the uric acid in the system is cleared, thereby providing a better functioning of the system. You can eat vegetables and meat on the sixth day leaving out potatoes. On the last and seventh day of the diet you can eat brown rice, fruit juices but without adding sugar to them. But do not forget to have soup atleast once. Carbonated beverages, alcohol and bread are to be strictly avoided.

            Apart from the cabbage soup you can also follow a chicken soup diet that is equally effective in the reduction of weight in a few days. While following soup diet you need to learn to control the cravings of foods that you relish. The more vegetarian food you take the more effective you can find the diet to be.
